On August 22, 2026, Feral Feast will debut at North Bridger Bison Ranch outside Bozeman, bringing together chefs, hunters, anglers, conservationists, storytellers, and outdoor enthusiasts for a day dedicated to celebrating wild food and the landscapes that make it possible.

Part food festival, part conservation gathering, and part outdoor skills experience, Feral Feast was created to explore the connection between landscape, wildlife, and table. Through chef demonstrations, educational seminars, hands-on workshops, and community gatherings, attendees will have the opportunity to experience the traditions, knowledge, and stewardship that support wild food systems across North America.

“Wild food represents far more than what’s on the plate,” says Feral Feast founder Beth Brennan. “It tells a story about conservation, habitat, public lands, and the people who dedicate themselves to stewarding those resources. Feral Feast is designed to bring those stories together in one place.”

Throughout the day, guests will experience live wild game and wild food cooking demonstrations from acclaimed chefs and outdoor culinary experts, alongside conversations focused on wildlife conservation, public lands, and the future of hunting and fishing traditions. Interactive workshops will offer opportunities to learn practical skills ranging from field-to-table preparation and outdoor cooking techniques to foraging and other hands-on outdoor pursuits.

The event will also feature storytelling session and immersive activations from leading outdoor brands and conservation organizations, creating opportunities for attendees to engage directly with the people and companies helping shape the future of outdoor recreation and stewardship.

While Montana’s outdoor heritage serves as the backdrop, Feral Feast is designed for a broad audience. Hunters and anglers will find familiar themes, but the event also welcomes food lovers, conservation advocates, public lands supporters, and anyone interested in learning more about the role wild food plays in connecting people to nature.

At its core, Feral Feast seeks to highlight an often-overlooked reality: healthy wildlife populations, public lands, and thriving ecosystems don’t happen by accident. They are the result of generations of conservation efforts, habitat restoration, responsible management, and public engagement.

By bringing together voices from across the outdoor, culinary, and conservation communities, the event hopes to spark new conversations about how food, wildlife, and stewardship intersect, and why those connections matter.

As interest in wild food continues to grow nationwide, Feral Feast offers a uniquely Montana setting to explore the traditions, skills, and conservation values that sustain it.
