Held in Flagstaff, Arizona, Overland Expo West marked the second stop in the Expo series this year, following the inaugural SoCal event in March.
With the event season now in full swing, the weekend’s festivities drew crowds from across the U.S.—many flying in, others making the voyage by road in their fully built-out rigs.
Wind gusts topping 30 mph swept through Tuthill County Park throughout the three-day event, testing the patience and tent stakes of vendors and attendees alike. As awnings flexed and flags whipped in the high desert wind, the show rolled on, bringing together adventurers, gearheads, and brands from across the country.
Despite the rollercoaster weather that seemingly coated every surface in multiple layers of that lovely dust, energy remained high thanks to new product debuts, happy hours, and educational workshops. Winding through the endless rows of vendors, you can’t help but feel the itch to get out and explore, to push the boundaries with your rig and truly use your gear as intended.
One of the best parts of this show is how it fuels your imagination. You start picturing your dream setup, surrounded by the latest innovations and a growing movement toward modular products that give you creative control over your build. A handful of standout products truly stole the show—from fully a modular camper and seat delete systems to clever gear organization solutions. Here’s a closer look at a few favorites from the weekend.
Xtrusion Overland - XO.SKLTN
Xtrusion Overland’s highly anticipated XO.SKLTN was on display at the brand’s booth over the weekend. This all-new system allows users to start with a base bed rack and upgrade to a topper or camper configuration as needed.
Designed for overlanding enthusiasts seeking versatility and customization, the XO.SKLTN product ecosystem is a fully-modular camper with an integrated tent that features internal pass-through access, proprietary extrusion profiles, billet corner pieces, and proprietary hinge and latch mechanisms.
This is my most anticipated product release, giving consumers full control over the upgrade process and combating the high price entry barrier. Constructed using extruded aluminum with T-slot channels, the customization possibilities are endless, and it opens the door for DIY assembly, eliminating the need to go into a shop for installation.
On first impressions, the prototype on display showcases the same quality workmanship from the Kansas-based brand–a product sure to disrupt the market.
ONWRD Supply Co. - Gear Organization
Whoever thought gear organization couldn’t also be as aesthetically pleasing as is functional, has clearly never seen ONWRD Supply Co.’s products in the wild. Maybe it’s the OCD in me or the constant need to de-clutter my Chevy’s cab, but ONWRD’s approach to gear organization is everything you could want in a modular loadout. From pre-build kits to their popular headrest organizer and base panels, they’ve got you covered.
The Mounting Co. - Pro Eagle Jack Mount
The Mounting Co. has quickly become a staple mounting solution across the overlanding and off-road community. Originating from the demands of off-road desert racing, the brand debuted its newest mount, a Pro Eagle Jack Mount, at Overland Expo West. Incorporating the same high-quality materials and construction as its current product lineup, this all-new product features aircraft-grade aluminum, 316 stainless steel, a titanium pin, and the brand’s patented removable and rebuildable pin-and-block system, all in a compact, easy-to-install package.
On display was also their Starlink Mini Mount, crafted using a 6061 billet antenna enclosure, lexan protective cover, and comes standard with a CAT 5 extension and a Deutsch Connector for a weather proof seal. Branching out into fitments beyond case mounting, it’s exciting to see which areas the brand will tackle next.
KC HiLiTES - Platform One Roof Rack
KC HiLiTES debuted its all-new, next-generation roof rack system, the Platform One. The system is built for seamless integration of lighting, gear storage, and power-ready capability. Features include an adjustable top deck and slotted side mounts for ultimate control over configuration. KC has had great success with its M-Rack over the years, and the Platform One looks to be a fantastic upgrade and refresh that seamlessly integrates the brand’s lighting solutions.
An added bonus is that KC did not overlook power management, designing the rack with wire management in mind. Popular fitments for the new roof rack include top vehicles from Ford, Toyota, and Lexus, and it will be available for purchase starting on July 15, 2025.
Goose Gear - Ford Bronco Low Profile Seat Delete System and UltraLite Interiors
Goose Gear showcased a handful of new products within their corral, highlighted by their all-new Ford Bronco Low Profile Seat Delete Sleeping Platform system, paired with an Ursa Minor Bronco Camper. Bronco owners can now remove the second-row seats in their vehicles and set up their rigs for comfortable stealth camping while gaining much-needed storage space. Goose Gear is always thinking one step ahead, designing for modular compatibility with their CampKitchen and the required 3-inch-tall modules for installation.
In addition to the Ford Bronco setup, the brand also showcased their UltraLite interiors for GFC and Super Pacific builds, installed on a Chevy Colorado and Ford Raptor. These strap-in interior systems install easily without drilling and completely transform the bed of your truck, offering ample storage and configurable bench modules.
