From registration and qualifying in Ensenada to beachfront finish line parties in San Quintín and back, the 2026 NORRA 500 delivers a full Baja experience across four action-packed days, October 8th through 11th.
2026 NORRA 500 Schedule of Events Announced
Two Days of Baja Racing, FanFest, Safari Expedition and Finish Line Celebrations Set for October 8th to 11th
The official schedule of events has been released for the 2026 NORRA 500, bringing two days of rally racing, the Safari Expedition, FanFest, technical inspection and finish line celebrations to Baja California, October 8th to 11th.

Before competitors arrive in Ensenada, NORRA will host a series of online meetings and training sessions to help teams prepare for the event.
The final day for discounted entry pricing will be August 31. The motorcycle entry deadline is also August 31st at 6 p.m., with a minimum of 20 motorcycle entries required, followed by the DirtOS navigation training class on September 8th at 6 p.m. Pacific.
A Rally Navigator, GPS and DirtOS training class hosted by Eliseo Garcia and Roy Rojas will be held September 24th at 6 p.m. Additional mandatory online meetings begin October 1st, with the Moto Riders Zoom meeting at 6 p.m. Online registration also closes October 1st at 6 p.m.
The Safari Expedition Zoom meeting will take place October 2nd at 4 p.m., followed by the Cars Drivers Zoom meeting at 6 p.m. Full course GPS files and course maps will be released October 7th at 6 p.m. Competitors must have an active NORRA account login and be fully registered to access the course information.

Registration, Tech Inspection and FanFest
Official NORRA 500 activities begin Thursday, October 8th, at the Riviera Cultural Center in Ensenada.
Registration opens at 8 a.m., with designated windows for PRO SXS FI, PRO SXS, 6100 and Class 10 competitors. Tracker installation and technical inspection will take place throughout the morning.
The Vintage and Historic Classes, along with motorcycle competitors, will complete registration and technical inspection beginning at 10 a.m. Stella tracker installation will be available for all competitors from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Mack Johnson’s Vintage Classic Car Round-Up and FanFest runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by the Grand Marshal Meet and Greet from noon to 1 p.m.
Qualifying for the PRO SXS FI, PRO SXS and 6100 divisions will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. at Rancho Nelson, KM 19 on Highway 3.
The day concludes with the NORRA 500 Welcome Fiesta from 4 to 8 p.m. in the Riviera Cultural Center’s Desert Garden. Food and drinks will be included. The mandatory drivers meeting follows from 6 to 7 p.m. in the Riviera Cultural Center Theater.
The Safari Expedition begins its journey Thursday morning, meeting in Jamul, California, for registration and a coordinated border crossing. Participants will travel to Ojos Negros for lunch and a cheese cave tour at Cava de Marcelo before continuing into Baja.
Day One: Ensenada to San Quintín
The NORRA 500 officially gets underway Friday, October 9th.
Motorcycles begin staging 30 minutes before their assigned start times, with the first moto leaving at 6 a.m. The Safari Expedition stages at 6:30 a.m. and departs at 7 a.m.
Cars begin staging 30 minutes before their assigned start times, with the first car starting at 8:30 a.m.
After the opening day’s competition from Ensenada to San Quintín, racers, teams and Safari participants will gather for a beach-front finish line celebration at the Old Mill Hotel. The celebration runs from noon to 9 p.m. and includes food and drinks.
Day Two: San Quintín to Ensenada
Saturday, October 10, begins with motorcycle staging at 5:30 a.m. on the Misión Santa María Hotel access road, followed by the moto start at 6 a.m.
The Safari Expedition stages at 6:30 a.m. and starts north at 7 a.m. Cars begin staging at 8 a.m., with the first car leaving at 8:30 a.m.
Competitors will race north toward the NORRA 500 finish at Estero Beach Resortin Ensenada. The beachside finish line celebration will run from noon to 9 p.m., with food and drinks included.
Official Results and Awards
Unofficial results will be posted online at NORRA.com at 8 a.m. Sunday, October 11th.
Timing inquiries and the Competition Review Board review period will take place from 8 to 9 a.m. at Transpeninsular Brewery. Official results will be posted at 9 a.m.
Awards pickup and the NORRA 500 celebration will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Transpeninsular Brewery, with food and drinks included.
