Now, the Oregon-based company is releasing its next winch for trucks and SUVs, the all-new ZEON XD. Warn has taken over a decade of experience with its previous ZEON winch and improved upon it creating the ZEON XD. It features improvements, refinements, and upgrades throughout that will keep the ZEON name at the forefront of vehicle recovery winches.

ZEON XD comes together at the 200,000 sq./ft. ISO-quality-certified WARN facility in Clackamas, Oregon. There, 400 dedicated employees cut metal, shape gears, and work together to produce this winch alongside other iconic WARN winches. With over 75 years of off-road experience, Warn’s tradition of quality, innovation, and excellence endures with this latest product.
Upgraded Performance and Specs
Designed, engineered, tested, and assembled in Clackamas, Oregon USA, ZEON XD 10-S and ZEON XD 12-S, have a new high-performance, high-efficiency electric motor and gear train. This powerful combination delivers new blazing-fast best-in-class no-load line speeds of up to 40 ft/min. Plus, the OEM-grade bus bars provide efficient electrical connections removing the exposed, inefficient wires. The result is a winch that pulls harder and faster for longer periods of time in the harshest conditions. Ask, and ZEON XD delivers.
ZEON XD has better-than-ever IP68 submersion and new high-pressure-tested IP69K waterproof construction featuring improved O-ring rubber sealing. This keeps the outside elements from getting inside the winch, ensuring years of reliable performance.
As a supplier to some of the world’s top automakers, Warn also opted to upgrade this winch’s fasteners to the same corrosion-resistant black components they offer to the OEMs. An updated UV-resistant bus bar cover is also included for years of rugged good looks.
Full-metal armor protects ZEON XD from trail hazards and damage. This includes guarding the high-speed motor and the heavy-duty three-stage planetary gear train. In fact, this gear train is the most efficient, strongest gear set ever, reducing component strain, and improving durability.
Spydura Synthetic Rope
ZEON XD is available in two capacities, 10,000 lb. (ZEON XD 10-S) and 12,000 lb. (ZEON XD 12-S). Both include Warn’s strong, lightweight, and easy-to-handle Spydura® synthetic rope. ZEON XD 10-S includes 100’ of 3/8” Sypdura synthetic rope; ZEON XD 12-S has 80’ of 3/8” Spydura Pro rope, both with included abrasion sleeve and forged steel hook. No matter which capacity buyers select, they’ll get an upgraded forged aluminum black hawse fairlead for superior corrosion, impact, salt, weather, and UV resistance for a lifetime of good looks and functionality.
These winches also have a unique large-diameter aluminum-alloy drum. The large radius means less stress on the rope, extending its service life. The through-drum rope attachment is also the strongest anchor on the market and allows for easy rope replacement.
Reliable, Confident Control
ZEON XD includes the ultra-reliable Albright contactor for exceptional electrical control, efficiency, and reliability. The removable control pack allows for a variety of mounting options too. Simply use the control pack relocation kit (sold separately) and it can fit behind many bumpers or in other compact spaces.
The winch includes an easy-to-use corded waterproof remote with 12’ lead and HUB wireless receiver for 100’+ range of wireless control when paired with the WARN HUB app on your smartphone (iOS and Android).
For additional control, the best-in-class six-segment cone brake will hold the winch’s full rated load. So, no matter the angle, ZEON XD will inspire confidence, holding a vehicle securely without slipping.
