A Race Against Blindness is a family-run and founded Section 501(c)(3) non-profit founded by Steve & Kristina Johnston. Upon discovering their son’s rare genetic condition called retinitis pigmentosa caused by Bardet-Biedl Syndrome (BBS) – which is causing him to gradually lose his vision, Steve and Kristina took action and founded A Race Against Blindness to fund clinical trials and find a cure for retinitis pigmentosa.
