Utah-based American Adventure Lab introduces a purpose-built cargo platform that replaces the Ford Ranger’s rear bench with functional storage space. American Adventure Lab Launches Ford Ranger Rear Seat Delete, Transforming Unused Cabin Space into Functional Cargo Storage

American Adventure Lab has officially launched its new Ford Ranger Rear Seat Delete, a purpose-built cargo platform designed for 2019-current Ford Ranger and Ranger Raptor crew cab models.

Engineered to convert the often-underutilized second-row seating area into a flat, durable, and organized cargo space, the system provides a practical solution for work trucks, overland builds, pet owners, and daily drivers alike.

Built and manufactured in St. George, Utah, the Ford Ranger Rear Seat Delete replaces the factory rear bench with a fully flat cargo platform constructed from 5052 aluminum and a steel support structure.

The result is a strong, waterproof, and easy-to-clean storage solution that maximizes the utility of the truck’s interior while maintaining a fully reversible installation process. The system installs using factory mounting points, requires no drilling or permanent vehicle modifications, and allows owners to return their vehicle to stock configuration if desired.

“Our goal was simple: make the back seat area work harder,” said the team at American Adventure Lab. “Many Ranger owners use their trucks for hauling tools, recovery gear, camera equipment, pet travel, or adventure gear far more often than they carry rear passengers. We wanted to create a solution that transforms that space into something genuinely useful without compromising quality, durability, or serviceability.”

Practical Features

The Ford Ranger Rear Seat Delete includes several practical features designed around real-world use. Removable access doors allow owners to retain access to factory storage cubbies and the OEM jack location, while integrated threaded tie-down points provide secure mounting locations for cargo, equipment, and accessories.

The platform is also compatible with Rangers equipped with the factory subwoofer, eliminating the need for subwoofer relocation on standard trim levels.

Options for Customization

For customers seeking even more functionality, the system can be paired with an optional rear wall that covers the exposed cab wall and creates a mounting surface for MOLLE panels, Milwaukee Packout storage, radios, and other accessories.

Additional compatible accessories include MOLLE panels, Packout mounting solutions, and an upper MOLLE shelf.

The product was developed with direct input from the Ford Ranger community and refined through extensive real-world testing. Early production units were installed in commercial fleet vehicles, where the platform demonstrated its ability to provide organized, climate-controlled storage for tools, equipment, and daily-use gear.

The design has also proven popular among overlanders, fleet vehicles, and outdoor enthusiasts looking to create a more versatile interior cargo area.

Availability

Available finish options include raw aluminum, textured black powder coat, and American Adventure Lab’s Mil-Spec lining, offering customers the ability to tailor the system to their specific use case and environment.

The Ford Ranger Rear Seat Delete is available now through American Adventure Lab and includes free shipping within the lower 48 states.
