Ford Partners with onX to Offer Complimentary Premium Navigation for Off-Road, Hunting, and Backcountry Adventures

Ford owners in the United States are being offered a complimentary year of premium navigation services through a new partnership between Ford Motor Company and onX. The program applies to 2017 and newer vehicles and includes Elite memberships across several of onX’s apps, covering off-road navigation, hunting, backcountry travel, and fishing.

The bundle provides access to onX Offroad, onX Hunt, onX Backcountry, and onX Fish. Together, these platforms offer route data, land boundaries, trail information, and offline mapping designed for use beyond cellular coverage. The Offroad app alone includes more than 650,000 miles of mapped routes with difficulty ratings and trail details.

The apps are compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, allowing maps to be displayed directly on a vehicle’s infotainment screen. Users can also download maps in advance for navigation in remote areas.

The offer is available through the Ford app and runs through the end of 2028. Alongside the membership rollout, the companies are launching a content series highlighting real-world use of the technology in off-road settings.

Owners of 2017 and newer Ford vehicles in the U.S. are eligible to receive a complimentary year of onX Offroad, onX Hunt, and onX Backcountry Elite memberships and the onX Fish Midwest membership, unlocking access to the outdoor navigation company’s complete suite of apps:

• onX Fish: Explore new water, find verified access points, species insights, and stay up-to-date on local regulations, so you can spend less time researching and more time fishing. Available throughout the Midwest currently, with new states added regularly. 

To activate your complimentary onX Elite Membership:

1. Open the Ford app and click on the onX banner, or navigate to the in-app messages
2. Authenticate with your Ford or Lincoln account credentials
3. Select the onX app(s) you want to activate
4. Download the onX app(s) and start your next adventure
