Morimoto has launched two all-new headlights for Ford F-150 and SVT Raptor owners, the XB Evo and the XB Evo Hybrid.

Available for 2009-2014 Ford F-150 and 2010-2014 Ford SVT Raptor, these new headlights are the latest addition to the highly successful XB product line from the brand.

XB EVO Headlights

For 2009–2014 Ford F-150 owners looking to upgrade their lighting game, the Morimoto XB Evo LED Headlights deliver more than just a cosmetic refresh.

They combine cutting-edge optics, enhanced functionality, and customizable features. Let’s take a look at their features and benefits:

  • All New Optics: Enables light output that exceeds the rigorous standards of the IIHS, with exceptional intensity and distribution. Utilizing dual Bi-LED projectors powered by Nichia’s latest automotive LEDs, nothing will outperform the XB Evo.
  • On and Off Road: Meets DOT compliance standards for public roads in the USA in standard form, with an optional Supercharged LED driver to boost intensity by 30-50%, making them the brightest option for F-150 owners who want to maximize output for off-road use.
  • Frost-Free System: Warms the lens surface to prevent frost buildup during wet and snowy conditions in winter. Activated by flashing the high beams four times when the temperature drops below 5C / 41F, this ensures consistent headlight performance in cold climates.
  • Signal Swap Keys: Enable users to personalize the operation of daytime running lights and turn signals via a plug-and-play key. The XB Evo can be configured to run with white or amber daytime running lights and sequential or standard turn signals.
  • Designed, Engineered, and Tested: This Morimoto product includes a 5 Year limited warranty, serviced and supported by the Morimoto team in Atlanta, GA.

XB EVO Hybrid Headlights

The XB Evo Hybrid Headlights feature similar performance and power, but at a lower price point. Featuring the same all-new optics using Bi-LED projectors, they also meet DOT compliance standards for public roads in the states.

However, the XB Evo Hybrids do not feature High Beam Assist, an Animated Welcome Sequence (can be activated by upgrading to the Supercharged Driver), and Lens Heater.

Available Upgrade to Supercharged LED Drivers

Available for upgrade, you can purchase the XB Evo Supercharged LED Drivers, which Morimotor claims to boost output by 30-50%.

It is worth noting that upgrading to these drivers results in non-compliance for on-road use and are strictly for off-road applications only. With a simple bolt-on install, this upgrade will not affect the reliability or warranty of your headlights.

What Sold Me on Morimoto Headlights

As a current user of Morimoto’s XB LED Headlights on my 2015 Chevy Silverado, I can confidently say they’ve exceeded expectations. Not only are they a major aesthetic upgrade from OEM—replacing the gaudy chrome trim with a sleek, modern look—but the performance is where they truly shine.

Installation was straightforward, and while I always prioritize function over form, the visual refresh feels like a much-needed makeover for my 10-year-old truck.

The Osram 5000K LEDs provide excellent daytime brightness and the Bi-LED setup delivers serious output with four low beams and two high beams. For the price, it’s one of the smartest and most satisfying upgrades I’ve made.
